PiktoChart Infographics

Students are learning about the website Piktochart and how they can use it to create their very own infographics.  Students thought about what kind of information would be helpful to shareout in an infographic, and decided that test strategies could be very useful in our school for many students.

Students are using an Infographic Rubric and Piktochart Assessment Form to grade themselves.

Creating A Movement Using Social Media

Students are learning positive ways to communicate their thoughts and feelings about social issues and to get people to join in a cause that they feel passionate about.

During the months of April and May students are learning about Earth Day and how they can use this platform to bring awareness to environmental issues that are effecting us right now!  Students are researching different environmental issues and ways to prevent them from causing further damage..

We are then using our knowledge and spreading the word through social media in hopes to start an Earth Hour Challenge where people from all over participate in a small way to make a big change.

Here is a example of how people use social media to create a movement that is spread across the world.

iMovie Book Trailers

Students are learning to use the iMovie app to create book trailers.  They are learning about symbolism and tone and how these elements can help tell a story.  Check out some of our work!
